SpaceX to build $100bn spaceport in Louisiana — construction starts in 2027

SpaceX has announced a $100 billion investment to build a new spaceport called "Starbase, Louisiana," designed to launch thousands of rockets. The company describes the facility as realising a vision that "until now only existed in science fiction." Construction is set to begin in 2027.
