NASA's Pandora satellite begins studying exoplanet atmospheres and host stars

NASA's Pandora spacecraft, the first satellite launched through the agency's Astrophysics Pioneers program, has begun making observations of exoplanets and their host stars. The mission aims to determine the atmospheric composition of at least 20 exoplanets, including detecting hazes, clouds and water. A key goal is understanding how a host star's light distorts measurements of exoplanet atmospheres.
