Costa urges EU to finalise 2028–2034 budget by year's end

European Council President Antonio Costa kicked off his annual tour of EU member states on Tuesday with visits to Bratislava and Tallinn. In both capitals he called for negotiations on the EU's new multiannual budget for 2028–2034 to be concluded by the end of this year. Costa stressed that the new financial framework is critical to the future of the bloc's financial architecture.
