Gun-running ship sunk by Israel in 1948 found off Tel Aviv after 78 years

A ship that was carrying arms and was sunk by Israeli forces in June 1948 has been located in waters off Tel Aviv, 78 years after it went down. Israeli forces opened fire on the vessel on the orders of David Ben Gurion, Israel's first prime minister. The wreck had lain undiscovered on the seabed for nearly eight decades.
