Violent gang attack in Haiti kills 47, kidnaps over 50

Armed gang members killed at least 47 people and kidnapped more than 50 others near Haiti's capital, the United Nations reported. The attack was carried out by armed men in a region increasingly under the control of organised criminal groups. Haiti has been gripped by a wave of gang violence that has destabilised the country for months.
