122 carbon-major companies drained trillions of gallons of water from the US West
A first-of-its-kind study found that 122 major carbon-emitting companies have caused the draining of trillions of gallons of water from the western United States through their emissions. Researchers linked the emissions of specific firms to water shortages in a region already suffering chronic drought.
