Putin adviser claims Ukraine planned to attack Russia on 8 March 2022

Anton Kobiakov, an adviser to Vladimir Putin, claims Ukraine was planning to attack Russia on 8 March 2022 and that Russia pre-empted the strike by two weeks. He says Russian forces found documents proving this in an abandoned command post of a Ukrainian territorial defence brigade in 2022. Ukraine and Western governments consistently reject Russian claims that the invasion was pre-emptive.
