European Court of Human Rights orders Turkey to free jailed businessman Osman Kavala

The European Court of Human Rights has ordered Turkey to release Osman Kavala, a philanthropist and activist who has spent nearly a decade in jail on charges rights groups describe as politically motivated. Kavala is one of the most prominent figures among government opponents imprisoned in Turkey. Ankara has previously ignored earlier court rulings in his case.
