Ukrainian basketball star quits LSU after Russian recruit joins the team

Ukrainian center Kate Koval is leaving LSU's women's basketball team less than two weeks after Russian player Anna Minaeva joined the Tigers. Coach Kim Mulkey cited "personal reasons" for Koval's departure and said the program would respect her privacy. Mulkey had previously hoped the two players could serve as "ambassadors for peace."
