CIA chief Ratcliffe flew to Moscow as US asked Ukraine to halt strikes
CIA Director John Ratcliffe landed in Moscow on Monday for unannounced talks, confirmed by flight tracking data showing a US military aircraft travelling via Latvia. The Trump administration had separately asked Ukraine to hold off attacking Moscow, St Petersburg and northern Russia at the start of the week, according to the Financial Times. The visit marks a rare direct intelligence-level contact between Washington and the Kremlin during the ongoing war.
