At least 1 in 4 NFL players has CTE, major new study finds
A major new study has found that at least one in four NFL players develops chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), a brain disease caused by repeated head impacts. Researchers stressed the true prevalence may be significantly higher, as CTE can currently only be diagnosed post-mortem. The findings represent one of the most significant results yet in research on the disease in sport.
