Polish financial regulator recognises POLSTR as key benchmark, replacing WIBOR from 2027

Poland's Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) has officially recognised POLSTR as a significant reference benchmark, announced Michał Kruszka, director of the KNF's Research and Regulatory Supervision Department. The move is another step in the process of replacing the WIBOR rate with the new indicator, which is set to be used in new loan agreements from 2027. The change will affect millions of borrowers in Poland.
