Canada prepares countermeasures to protect workers as US trade war deepens

As the US escalates its trade war with Canada, Ottawa has announced that its finance, labour and industry ministries will unveil new countermeasures to protect workers at risk of losing their jobs. The car industry is among the sectors most threatened by the new American tariffs. Canada had previously responded with retaliatory tariffs on US goods.
