Archaeologists search for missing remains from the Battle of Grunwald
A new season of archaeological research has begun on the historic fields of Grunwald, involving around 40 experienced searchers from exploration associations. Although the battle fought over 600 years ago was one of the largest clashes in medieval Europe, mass graves and the remains of tens of thousands of fallen soldiers have still not been found. Researchers are methodically combing the site metre by metre to fill gaps in knowledge about the battlefield.
