Poland's Baltic coast, including the Żuławy Wiślane delta, may flood by end of century

According to IPCC reports, further sea-level rise is virtually certain, putting low-lying areas of Poland's Baltic coastline at serious risk. The Żuławy Wiślane — the Vistula delta, much of which lies below sea level — is identified as particularly vulnerable to inundation. The shape of Poland's coastline could change dramatically by the end of the century without significant cuts to greenhouse gas emissions.
