NATO flew spy missions over Russia from Norwegian bases for first time since the 1950s

NATO aircraft conducted reconnaissance missions over Russian territory, launching from military bases in Norway, according to the NTB news agency. This marks the first time such operations have been conducted from Norwegian soil since the 1950s, when Oslo stopped allowing the alliance to use its territory for that type of mission. Norway has now eased those long-standing restrictions.
