Polish pensions closing gap with Germany but still below EU average

The average ZUS pension and disability benefit in Poland reached 4,479.74 PLN (around €1,040) at the end of July. The EU average stands at €1,443, meaning Polish retirees receive roughly 28% less than the European mean. Analysts note that Polish pension levels are gradually converging toward those paid in Germany.
