US can now sanction anyone operating in Iran's crypto sector
The US Treasury has announced it can now sanction any individual or entity operating in Iran's cryptocurrency sector as part of a campaign it dubbed "Economic D-Day." Digital assets are one of five targeted sectors alongside technology, gold, aviation and shipping. The move aims to cut off Iran's access to financial resources through digital channels.
