European court orders Turkey to immediately free Osman Kavala

The European Court of Human Rights has ordered Turkey to immediately release Osman Kavala, a businessman and philanthropist jailed since 2017. The court declared his life sentence invalid. Kavala was convicted in connection with the Gezi Park protests in Istanbul.
