Trump makes another attempt to seize control of the Federal Reserve
Less than two months after the Supreme Court blocked President Donald Trump's attempt to fire a Federal Reserve Board Governor, Trump is making another move to assert control over the central bank. The earlier attempt, had it succeeded, would have allowed him to install loyalists at the Fed. The new effort has renewed fears about the independence of the institution responsible for US monetary policy.
