€3 duty halves parcel volumes from China

A new €3 customs duty on low-value parcels from outside the EU has cut the number of customs declarations in half. June saw nearly 4.24 million such declarations, while July recorded just 2.1 million, according to Poland's Ministry of Finance. The measure has hit Chinese e-commerce platforms selling cheap clothing and electronics particularly hard.
