Canada prepares retaliation against 50% US tariffs — what leverage does it have?

Canada announced it would reveal on August 25 its response to new US tariffs of up to 50% on selected Canadian goods, after talks between the two countries failed to avert the measures. Relations between the former close allies have sharply deteriorated. Canada has several levers it can use against Washington, including counter-tariffs and restrictions on energy exports.
