Madrid takes direct control of Ceuta amid migration crisis

From Tuesday, Pedro Sanchez's Spanish government is taking direct control of Ceuta, Spain's enclave in North Africa. First Deputy Prime Minister Carlos Cuerpo announced the decision in response to a migration crisis in the autonomous city that has been ongoing since the end of July. Central government management replaces the previous local autonomous authorities.
