School supply costs cannot be deducted from income tax in Poland
Polish tax law does not allow parents to deduct school supply expenses from their income tax. Costs for notebooks, textbooks, backpacks and PE kits can run to several hundred zlotys per child at the start of the school year. Parents may, however, be eligible for other forms of state support, such as back-to-school allowances or local authority programmes.
