Poles increasingly overstimulated — 32% can't last 30 minutes of silence
Within a single hour, people now receive as much social information as might previously have arrived over several days. Research shows that 32% of Poles cannot sit in silence and do nothing for even 30 minutes. Overstimulation manifests as difficulty concentrating and a sense of mental fragmentation — one person described it as feeling like "a rotavator had driven through your brain."
