Sociologist: replacing Ukrainian workers in Poland would be enormously costly
Sociologist Katarzyna Krzywicka warns that if Ukrainian workers left Poland, they would need to be replaced by immigrants from more distant countries, requiring a far more costly and complex integration infrastructure than the one built for Ukrainians. She emphasises that Ukrainians are culturally close to Poles, making their integration relatively straightforward compared to workers from more remote regions. The expert calls the potential scenario "enormously complicated and expensive".
