Spain takes direct control of Ceuta from 25 August amid migration crisis
The Spanish government of Pedro Sánchez will take direct control of Ceuta, its North African enclave, from 25 August, Deputy Prime Minister Carlos Cuerpo announced. The move is a response to a migration crisis that has gripped the city since late July. As part of the new management framework, authorities plan to vaccinate migrants.
