French tourist dies in Death Valley after getting stuck in mud in 47°C heat

A 68-year-old French tourist died in California's Death Valley after his car became stuck in mud on the salt flats. He was found dead in temperatures of 116°F (46.6°C). Death Valley is one of the hottest places on Earth and has recorded extreme temperatures this year.
