Energy companies await clarity on new CIT rate as EU-level tax option emerges

Polish energy companies are still awaiting guidance on how the new, higher corporate income tax (CIT) rate will be calculated. Some firms admit that a higher CIT could be more favourable for them than a windfall profits tax. An unexpected possibility of introducing a similar tax at the EU level has also emerged, which could benefit the Polish government.
