Coinbase launches tokenized stocks on Ethereum L2 Base network

Coinbase has launched tokenized stocks on its Ethereum layer-2 network Base. The tokens represent shares held by regulated custodian Alpaca and can be traded or used in decentralised finance (DeFi) applications on the Base network. The move marks a further step toward bridging traditional financial markets with blockchain infrastructure.
