Tornado devastates French village — 41 injured, 300 homes damaged

A tornado struck the village of Pomas in the Aude region of southwestern France on Monday, injuring 41 people and damaging around 300 homes. The storm ripped roofs off buildings and triggered power outages and transport disruption across the region. Authorities were also forced to cancel a stage of the Vuelta a España cycling race due to the severe weather.
