Nottingham Forest close to signing Liam Delap from Chelsea

Nottingham Forest are in advanced talks with Chelsea over the signing of 23-year-old striker Liam Delap. Delap has fallen out of favour under Xabi Alonso, training separately from the first team and being omitted from the squad for Monday's match at Fulham. He joined Chelsea from Ipswich Town in the summer, with Forest having been among his suitors at that time.
