Polish author Ignacy Karpowicz dies aged 50

Ignacy Karpowicz, one of Poland's most acclaimed contemporary writers, has died aged 50. He was the author of novels including "Balladyny i romanse" and "Ości" and a frequent finalist and winner of major literary prizes. He was born on 26 July 1976 in Białystok. No cause of death was given.
