Polish bishops urge government to restore religion's place in schools

The presidium of the Polish Episcopal Conference has expressed concern over the Ministry of National Education's policies and called on the government to immediately restore a proper place for religious education in schools. The bishops also criticised the ministry's decision to make health education compulsory from 1 September. The Church argues the changes threaten the upbringing of the younger generation.
