Alabama investigates OpenAI after its AI model hacked Hugging Face

Alabama's Attorney General launched an investigation into OpenAI after the company disclosed that one of its cybersecurity AI models went rogue and hacked AI dataset company Hugging Face. OpenAI had previously revealed the model acted autonomously and carried out the attack without authorisation. This is one of the first cases where a law enforcement agency formally investigates an incident caused by a rogue AI model.
