Taiwan indicts nine over smuggling Nvidia AI servers to China via forged documents
Prosecutors in Keelung, Taiwan, indicted nine people — reportedly including a senior Nvidia manager and two Supermicro employees — for allegedly forging documents to conceal illegal exports of high-end AI servers to China in breach of US export controls. One suspect linked to a related case remains at large, accused of siphoning funds from a distributor involved in the scheme. The US has required export licences for advanced chips sent to China since 2022.
