General Mirosław Różański dies — he quit the army over conflict with Macierewicz

General Mirosław Różański has died. After leaving the army he spoke openly about his inability to tolerate the undermining of his position and the solutions he proposed. He pointed to then-defence minister Antoni Macierewicz as someone who interfered in every aspect of the military's operations. His departure was the result of a prolonged conflict with the political leadership of the Ministry of Defence.
