From 13 September, system will automatically block invalid reimbursed prescriptions

From 13 September 2026, Poland's rules for issuing reimbursed prescriptions will change, with an IT system automatically blocking documents that fail to meet dosage and therapy-duration requirements. The reform aims to eliminate so-called "death prescriptions" — documents specifying dangerously high drug doses. The new rules are intended to improve patient safety.
