Hailstorm forces Vuelta a España stage 3 cancellation 15 km from finish

A severe hailstorm forced organisers to cancel stage three of the Vuelta a España, which ran from Gruissan to Font Romeu over 174 km through the Pyrenees. Racing was halted around 15 kilometres from the finish line. Riders were transferred to their hotels following the abandonment.
