Polish MFA warns: traffic violations can get you stuck in Balkan countries
Poland's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a warning for drivers travelling through the Balkans — including Croatia, Albania and Montenegro — that unpaid traffic fines or violations can result in being barred from leaving the country. Tourists may be stopped at the border until penalties are settled on the spot. The ministry urges travellers to familiarise themselves with local traffic regulations before departure.
