Iranian rial hits record low — dollar crosses 2 million rial mark

The Iranian rial continued to weaken, with the dollar fetching 2.028 million rials on the informal market on Monday. The previous Saturday marked the first time the dollar crossed the psychological 2-million-rial threshold. The official rate set by Iran's Central Bank stands at around 1.5 million rials per dollar.
