Czech Cessna sparks airspace alert — Kraków and Katowice airports temporarily closed
On Monday afternoon Poland's Ministry of Defence closed Kraków and Katowice airports and halted passenger traffic following an incident involving a Czech civilian Cessna aircraft. According to Lt. Col. Jacek Goryszewski, spokesman for the Operational Command of the Armed Forces, the plane entered Polish airspace from the direction of Slovakia. Polish fighter jets were placed on standby for the duration of the incident.
