Ignacy Karpowicz, award-winning Polish writer, dies aged 50
Ignacy Karpowicz, one of Poland's most celebrated contemporary writers and translators, has died at the age of 50. He was best known for novels including "Ości" and "Balladyny i romanse". Karpowicz was a recipient of the prestigious Paszport "Polityki" award and was widely credited with taking Polish literature in a new direction.
