Missouri raises speed limit to 75 mph on rural interstates — but not quite yet

Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe has signed Senate Bill 1408, raising the maximum speed limit on rural interstates and freeways from 70 mph (113 km/h) to 75 mph (121 km/h). The law takes effect on 28 August, but drivers will need to wait longer before they can legally drive at the new limit, as the Department of Transportation must first assess roads and erect new signs. Police will continue enforcing the 70 mph limit until the signs are in place.
