Romanowski not in Transnistria, prosecutors find no evidence of his presence

Polish prosecutors have no evidence that MP Marcin Romanowski is in Transnistria, the self-proclaimed republic within Moldova's borders, according to the newspaper "Rzeczpospolita". Reports indicate his request for safe conduct was sent not from Tiraspol but from another Moldovan location. Earlier speculation had suggested the fugitive politician was hiding in the unrecognised territory.
