Apollo Global confirms data breach: Social Security numbers and personal info stolen

Private equity giant Apollo has confirmed a July 2026 cyberattack in which a threat actor used social engineering to trick an employee into granting access to the company's cloud environment. Stolen data includes names, dates of birth, contact information, addresses and Social Security numbers. Apollo is offering affected individuals two years of identity protection; no evidence of dark web leaks has been found yet.
