Experts: new US sanctions unlikely to break Iran despite impact on its population

Iran has vowed a harsh response to expanded US sanctions, including measures targeting countries seen as cooperating with Washington. The US has so far failed to dislodge Iran's control over the Strait of Hormuz, through which a fifth of the world's traded oil passed before the war began. FRANCE 24's Reza Sayah reports that ordinary Iranians will bear the brunt of the new measures, while the chances of forcing Tehran to change course remain limited.
