Landfill landslide near Conakry kills at least 30 in Guinea

A landslide at the Dar-es-Salam garbage dump outside Guinea's capital Conakry has killed at least 30 people. The government has mobilised significant resources to search for survivors who may still be trapped under piles of waste. Just days before the disaster, authorities had announced plans to close the landfill due to dangerous conditions there.
