New Mexico to fund gender-affirming care for minors after federal Medicaid cuts

The Trump administration finalised a rule on 13 August ending Medicaid and CHIP funding for gender-affirming care for minors, including hormones and speech therapy, effective 13 October. New Mexico announced it will continue funding this care from state resources after the federal cuts take effect.
