Standard Chartered becomes first bank to distribute Hong Kong dollar stablecoin

London-based Standard Chartered, which holds $850 billion in assets, announced it will distribute Anchorpoint's HKDAP stablecoin to eligible clients and partners. The bank becomes the first in the world to distribute a Hong Kong dollar-pegged stablecoin. The move reflects growing institutional interest in tokenised currencies.
